Citizens face various problems every day. For example, the consequences of ineffective work of investigative bodies or other bodies, they live and deal with them every day. Lawyer Tigran Yegoryan said in an interview with Iravaban.net.
"These problems arise as a result of the incomplete functioning of the state. As a result of incomplete and insufficient professional skills and/or effective actions of specialists and officials acting on behalf of the state, people's trust in such bodies and tools begins to decrease. This is a natural chain effect and you need to do serious work to cut this effect, delve into the components of each individual issue and begin solving them, instead of continuing to change headlines," the lawyer said.
Speaking about the Whistleblowing System, Tigran Yegoryan mentioned that this is the reason for citizens' passivity in whistleblowing.
In response to the observation that the Haytnir.am online whistleblowing platform was launched by the Armenian Lawyers’ Association, the main purpose of which is to promote the fight against corruption in Armenia, to get public support in the fight against corruption, to assist in the improvement of the whistleblowing system, to contribute to the legal thinking regarding the whistleblowers among the public in Armenia and changing the culture, striving to create a positive and demanding image of the whistleblower as a citizen of the Republic of Armenia, he noted that it is a very important supplemental tool.
"The efficiency of the work depends on the efficiency of the work of the bodies that should carry out the studies on these issues. If these studies and investigations are superficial, if they are insufficiently multifaceted, deep and inclusive, then unfortunately these tools cannot provide the result they are intended to support. Even in this difficult situation, it shows positive dynamics," Tigran Yegoryan said.
